COVID-19 vaccine spring booster eligible groups

NHS Scotland follows advice from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI).

Vaccination is offered to those most at risk based on age and clinical condition.

Who is eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine spring booster

A COVID-19 vaccine spring booster is being offered to people who are at greater risk from COVID-19.

This includes:

  • residents in care homes for older adults
  • adults aged 75 years and over (or will turn 75 by 30 June 2023)
  • people aged 5 years and over with a weakened immune system

Appointments

NHS Scotland will be sending a letter, email or text message, to invite people who are eligible to attend a scheduled appointment or book an appointment for their Spring Booster vaccination using the online booking portal or by calling 0800 030 8013.
