Monthly assessment of the emerging COVID-19 evidence base, includes literature identified up to 25 October.

This rapid review was conducted ​to determine if the infection prevention and control measures applied in Scotland were suitable for the prevention and management of COVID-19 in health and care settings. The Public Health England 4 Nations COVID-19 IPC guidance​ is assessed in the rapid review.​

In version 18, the search strategy was amended due to updated objectives and a reduced scope – the following sections have been archived:

  • clinical presentation
  • atypical presentation
  • pre-symptomatic transmission
  • reinfection
  • incubation period
  • infectious period
  • face visors
  • hand hygiene​
