I read the recent Adverse Weather and Health Plan. https://www.publichealthscotland.scot/media/27720/phs-adverse-weather-and-health-plan-2024-to-2027_v1.pdf

On what data are these two claims based?

1- 'It is anticipated that climate change will have an increasing impact on Scotland’s weather. Climate predictions suggest that Scotland can expect adverse weather events, such as floods and heatwaves, to become more frequent and intense.'

2- 'The number of adverse weather events – particularly warm temperature extremes and heavy rainfall events – are increasing and are expected to continue to increase in number and severity with climate change over the coming decades.'
