Abstract
In this chapter, the authors present a narrative-centred approach to identifying and leading in crises; using the experiences of Teaching and Learning staff during the Covid-19 pandemic as context. Through three stories – rooted in the realities of University teaching – the chapter challenges the reader, and leader, to listen to colleagues in times of crisis. In doing so the chapter addresses different types of teaching crises, their causes, the reactions they provoke and how leaders can act in support.
