Please mind the gap
In a guest blog for the Scottish Government (SG), Carol Sinclair - a Chief Officer at Public Health Scotland and member of the SG's Digital Health and Care Data Strategy Working Group - explores how the Digital Health and Social Care Data Strategy is helping to pave the way in improving gaps around health and care data.
The blog highlights the need for consistent, quality data to support effective decision-making at a local and national level, and enable improvements in our health and care system to be scaled and sustained.
It is one in a series of blogs on the development of the national strategy, setting out its vision and ambitions. They are well worth reading as whole to connect with the themes identified in the stakeholder engagement and the commitments threaded through them to working collaboratively, learning from different experiences and continuing to transform our NHS through the use of data.
