About this Release

This release by Public Health Scotland (PHS) presents the Care & Wellbeing dashboard. This is a source of data and intelligence to support the ambitions of the Care & Wellbeing Portfolio (gov.uk) to improve population health, address health inequalities and improve the health and care system.

Many of the influences on health outcomes lie out with health and social care. Collective action across government, with local government partners and the wider public sector, is fundamental to improving population health and reducing health inequalities.

A range of indicators are included in this dashboard structured around the evidence-based Marmot framework (external site) which looks at the social determinants of health, the conditions in which people are born, grow, live, work and age which can lead to health inequalities.

The dashboard and indicators will continue to be updated over the coming months. This is an early release of the dashboard, it will be further developed following user feedback.
