Influenza in Scotland: update for week ending 22 December 2024

Description
Due to a recent increase in influenza activity in Scotland, Public Health Scotland have published updated statistics on viral respiratory diseases for week 51.
Please note that during ISO weeks 51 (27th December 2024) and 53 (3rd January 2025) influenza data was published. This data was released during the planned break in publication of the weekly Viral Respiratory Diseases (including influenza and COVID-19) in Scotland Surveillance Report. PHS continuously monitors influenza and other respiratory infection levels and reinstated the release of this data due to an increase in influenza activity.
