Description

This paper reports the findings of a literature review that has been completed as one part of the Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Programme evaluation being carried out by Public Health Scotland.

The purpose of this review was to examine what is known about the social and cultural factors that help or hinder women to seek support for their mental health in the perinatal period. The current report brings together international review level evidence, and studies carried out in the United Kingdom (UK).
