This report sets out the strategic plan to develop Scotland’s Wastewater Monitoring Programme over the next 3 years.
The strategic plan sets out the shared vision of the Scottish Government, Public Health Scotland and stakeholders for the programme. This includes key objectives and actions to deliver the vision.
The main aim is to make sure Scotland is in a strong position to deliver a quality-assured wastewater monitoring programme. This programme should:
- deliver on the One Health agenda
- be at the forefront of developments in wastewater-based epidemiology and its application to public health practice
- contribute to Scotland’s future pandemic preparedness.
