    Cost of the School Day (CoSD) is a programme developed by the Child Poverty Action Group (CPAG) in Scotland. This evaluation aims to understand the impact CoSD has had on removing cost barriers to participation in school. It also aims to understand how to improve the programme and encourage wider adoption of a sustainable CoSD approach.

It focused on women, LGBTQ+, youths, migrant health and mental health in homelessness, bringing together a coalition of partners to focus on the issues affecting the health and wellbeing of those who are experiencing homelessness.   • Evaluating the impact of alcohol minimum unit pricing (MUP) on alcohol-attributable deaths and hospital admissions in Scotland

    We used a natural experimental study design to look at the impact of MUP on deaths and hospital admissions caused wholly or partially by alcohol consumption in Scotland. We used data for England as the main geographical control group. Data for English regions was used in sensitivity analyses.

    This briefing looks at the scale and distribution of child poverty in Scotland. Almost one in four children in Scotland was living in relative poverty in Scotland. Current levels of child poverty are not inevitable: they have changed over time in both Britain and Scotland. Projections of child poverty levels in Scotland suggest these are likely to increase unless concerted action is taken.
