Under freedom of information, I would be grateful if you could provide any guidelines that are issues to GPs in Scotland relating to the prescribing of opioid painkillers, particularly any information, guidance or rules that are given for the long-term prescription of these to patients for periods lasting longer than a year. Is there guidance for monitoring patients over time?
