“I am writing to request a record of national skin cancer incidence and mortality rates in Scotland. I’m specifically interested in accessing the most recent available data.
I would like to receive an electronic record of the following cancers:
- Skin melanoma (SM, ICD-10 code C43)
- Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC, ICD-10 code C44)
- Basal cell carcinoma (lesser extent) (BCC, ICD-10 code C44)
Please could I request the data in the following breakdown:
- For the last 30 years (1990-2026), or the most recently available data
- Breakdown by geography (as granular as possible- HSCP or local authority)
- Breakdown by age (3 year bands)
- Breakdown by gender

I would also like 30 years of data by individual year, rather than aggregated together.”
