“Under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, I would be grateful if you could provide an extract from the Hospital Medicines Utilisation Database (HMUD).
Fields to include:
- Calendar year
- Calendar month
- Hospital / location (site name and code), where held in HMUD; if not available, Health Board name
- Name of Health Board
- Drug substance (INN name)
- Drug product pack name (virtual or actual product pack name, whichever is stored in HMUD), with dm+d code where available
- Quantity unit of measure (e.g. tablet, mL, vial)
- Quantity issued
- Cost, where held (optional: if cost is considered exempt, please release the remaining fields)
Filters:
- Time period: January 2020 to March 2026. If this full period cannot be provided, please provide the longest period possible up to March 2026.
- Drugs (all brands, strengths and formulations, including biosimilars): Evolocumab, Adalimumab, Ustekinumab, Secukinumab, Risankizumab, Pembrolizumab, Nivolumab, Osimertinib, Atezolizumab, Nusinersen, Risdiplam, Eculizumab, Semaglutide.
Where HMUD records the type of issue or setting (e.g. ward, outpatient, homecare), I would be grateful if this could be included as an additional field.”
Please provide the data in Excel or CSV format, and confirm under which licence it will be released for reuse, including commercial reuse (e.g. the Open Government Licence).
