Abstract

This report (editorial) explored the socio-economic impacts of the outbreak of Coronoavirus (Covid-19) on the continent of Africa. The artricle analysed the key challenges facing Africa due to the unpreparedness and the sudden outbreak of the virus and the disruptions it caused to major supply chains of food and pharmaceuticals. It examined the consequences Covid-19 on policy and the strategies for combating the outbreak of the virus. The report however viewed the pandemic phenomenon as a opportunity for African governments to adopt a common intra-African Philosophy (African Communal Approach - Africom) as an approach to forstering intra-African trading blocs to building stronger economic and infratructure development in the continent.
