Abstract

This article examines the options for contact tracing apps during Covid19 and their possible benefits and drawbacks. It considers the potential for app data to be linked with other sources of personal information that are being collected under emergency powers, their possible future role in policing compliance, and the implications for citizens' privacy and rights.
