Today, data on the COVID-19 vaccination in Scotland is published in our Weekly Statistical report for the first time. The data covers the total number of people in Scotland who have had their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine up to and including week ending the 20th of December.

We will update this data every week and it will be published with the Statistical report on a Wednesday at noon.

Angela Leitch, Chief Executive of Public Health Scotland said:

"We’ve been working with the Scottish Government, National Services Scotland and local NHS boards to design a population-wide COVID-19 immunisation programme. Understanding the numbers of people who have been vaccinated is an important part of this as we continue to monitor uptake and delivery.

“On a weekly basis we will report on the roll out and will continue to provide clinical advice and public health leadership as the COVID-19 vaccination joins the existing vaccines in Scotland’s armoury against infectious diseases."
