Today Public Health Scotland will join the nation in a minutes silence at 12 noon to mark a year since lockdown was announced and to reflect on those who have lost loved ones during the pandemic.

Angela Leitch, CEO Public Health Scotland said:

"Today, we will reflect on the more than 7,000 deaths lost to Covid-19 in Scotland over the last year. Each and every one is a tragedy that has impacted on people and their communities. Our thoughts are with those who have lost loved ones. We will keep working to make progress against the virus and do all that we can to protect the nation’s health."
