New Director of Place and Wellbeing appointed

Ruth Glassborow has been appointed as the new Director of Place and Wellbeing at Public Health Scotland (PHS). Ruth will join PHS from Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS) from her current role as Director of Improvement.
In her new role Ruth will contribute to the delivery of A Scotland where everybody thrives by leading on place-based approaches at a local, regional and national level, to areas including economy, poverty, mental wellbeing, health behaviours and child public health. She will join PHS in early September 2023.
