Chair of Public Health Scotland (PHS), Ally Boyle, has set out how our new 10-year strategy, Together we can, will drive meaningful action to improve and protect Scotland’s health, highlighting the central role of partnership in delivering long term change.
Together we can provides clear direction on how PHS will prioritise its work and deliver impact. It also recognises that improving life expectancy and narrowing health inequalities cannot be achieved by any single organisation.
The commitment to collaboration extends to working closely with newly elected MSPs and a wide range of partners, ensuring decisions and actions are firmly rooted in evidence and supported by a shared purpose.
With the strategy now launched, PHS is inviting politicians, policymakers, practitioners and partners across Scotland to explore its policy guide, which outlines practical, evidence‑based actions to improve outcomes and reduce health inequalities.
PHS hopes the guide will help the Scottish Parliament take a more preventative, aligned and collaborative approach, ensuring all those involved in improving Scotland’s health have the tools and insight needed to drive change.
