The fourth round of the COVID-19 Early Years Resilience and Impact Survey ran in June 2023.

This round asked the parents and carers of children aged 0 to 11 years old in Scotland about their experience of the events of the last few years.

The aims of this round were:

  • to explore how families were doing after returning to life with no pandemic restrictions in place
  • to find out if the challenges highlighted in previous rounds were improving, or if there were still some families struggling to cope with lasting impacts

This round of the survey was also developed to capture some experiences of coping with the impacts of the 'cost of living crisis' which coincided with the COVID-19 recovery period.

The following reports on this round of CEYRIS have been published:

  • Background report - background to the survey, methodology and demographics of the participants
  • Report 1 – Health and social wellbeing outcomes in children
