What is social care?

All aspects of personal and practical support and services for children, young people and adults

People receiving social care

Social care is provided to people to meet a diverse range of need and people are given choices about how the services are delivered

People have the opportunity to control and flexibility over their social care support in meeting their personal outcomes

Technology enabled care

The remote delivery of care services to people in their own home by means of alarms, telecommunications and/or computerised services

Care at home

Care at home is care provided to people in their own homes.

Care home

Care delivered in a care home setting for people who need support in their daily lives

End of life care

End of life supports the development and reporting on the Strategic Framework for Action on End of life Care (Palliative Care)

These indicators are intended to help Health and Social Care Partnerships (HSCPs) measure their progress on the National Health and Wellbeing outcomes set by the Scottish Government
