The programme is currently managed by the Place Standard Implementation Group and is chaired by Public Health Scotland.

It is applied across all local authorities in Scotland.

Its application internationally has extended across Europe with plans for global roll-out to be progressed through each of the 6 WHO Healthy Cities Networks (external website).
