About this release
This release by Public Health Scotland (PHS) presents a summary analysis of all community samples submitted from around 180 GP practices in the CARI respiratory programme over a one year period (22nd May 2023 - 19th May 2024). This includes trends in swab positivity for ten respiratory pathogens, with further analyses by age, sex and Health Board. The ten pathogens are: SARS-CoV-2, seasonal coronavirus (non-SARS-CoV-2), respiratory syncytial virus, influenza A, influenza B, parainfluenza, rhinovirus, adenovirus, human metapneumovirus and Mycoplasma pneumoniae.
