About this release

Public Health Scotland has released Community Pharmacy activity and direct pharmaceutical care services in an open data format. This information release makes these data available in response to information requests for contractor data relating to specific Community Pharmacy services.

Main points

Open Data files enable independent analysis of Community Pharmacy activity and the direct pharmaceutical care services they provide. Information is shown for each contractor and for the following:

  • Overall dispensing activity and payments
  • Pharmacy First Service
  • Medicines: Care and Review Service
  • Emergency Hormonal Contraception service
  • Smoking Cessation Service
  • Methadone dispensing
  • Activity numbers for Consultations, GP Referrals
  • Dispensing Activity for the Pharmacy First Service
