Description
The Scottish Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) Vaccination Programme 2024/25 Service Delivery Evaluation Report summarises findings of the RSV vaccination programme introduced in August 2024. The vaccination programme was implemented through the older adult and maternity RSV vaccination programmes for eligible older adults and pregnant women respectively.
The evaluation, which was conducted in three phases between August 2024 and February 2025, used a mixed method design. It examined the RSV 2024/25 vaccine delivery experiences of eligible persons, vaccinators and NHS Health Boards, and described features of service delivery that increased vaccine uptake. The findings from the report were used to inform recommendations for service delivery.
