Description

Data provided by NHS boards must pass central validation before they are accepted into the data mart and are available for analysis.

The validation rules and processes are maintained centrally so that all NHS boards work to the same standards.

Any records that fail validation are reported back to data providers with an indication of the error.

This validation manual provides guidance on the validation that is applied to the records that are submitted.

Validation is performed when loading data into the waiting times data warehouse – this validation manual contains full details of the validation rules that are applied to each data item in the datamart.
