What is the list?
The list is for medicinal products and medical devices approved for use under the NHS Pharmacy First Scotland service provided by Community Pharmacy contractors within NHS Scotland.
Directions and the service specification for NHS Pharmacy First Scotland are given in Scottish Government circular PCA (P)(2020)13.

- Availability of items
Eligible lines may not be available within all NHS board areas subject to local prescribing guidance. This applies particularly to dermatological items and antibiotics.
- Reimbursement
This list does not include reimbursement prices. These are found in Parts 2,3,7 and 7B.
- Amending the list
The list is compiled through consultation with NHS boards. Suppliers and other parties must not contact Public Health Scotland DDI Medicines team regarding the content as the team is not authorised to amend the list.
The team cannot answer enquiries regarding product selection.
DM+D codes depicted are believed to be correct at time of preparation, but no responsibility will be accepted for any errors that may be found.
The list will be reviewed on a bi-annual basis and as necessary.
