Opening Statement for Module 7 of the UK COVID-19 Inquiry on behalf of Public Health Scotland

Abstract
Module 7 of the UK COVID-19 Public Inquiry opened on 19 March 2024. This module will consider the policies and strategies of the UK Government and Devolved Administrations to support testing, tracing and isolation during the pandemic.
Counsel representing Public Health Scotland (PHS) submitted this opening statement to the Inquiry on 23 April 2025 outlining PHS's specific role in relation to Test, Trace and Isolate and stating our ongoing commitment to assisting the Inquiry. The Module 7 public hearing takes place between 12 May 2025 and 30 May 2025.
